Sailing In Paradise (7 Days – 6 Nights)

DAY 1. WELCOME TO DALMATIA

We will meet you at the airport or at the meeting point defined by yourselves, to then accompany you to your hotel in the city of Split. Once checked in, our guide will tell you about the programme, and we will subsequently venture forth and visit the town with the help of a local expert guide. We finish the day by dining together in one of the town’s typical restaurant.

Transfer time: Depending on the meeting point. From Split airport, 30 minutes.


DAY 2. SPLIT – BRAČ – HVAR

Today we will begin sailing. We identify our boat and then begin sailing towards the island of Brač. We will stop at Milna, a small village from the XVI century located on the western side of the island, where we will have time to swim or snorkel.

We then continue on towards the island of Hvar, famous for its sunny days, surrounded by blue and crystalline waters, with seductive nearby islands, ancient villages, countless fields of lavender, olive plantations and vineyards, charming pebbled streets and ancient Venetian palaces in the old quarter, all of which are the pride of Hvar. We will then have the opportunity to enjoy a charming evening in the Hvar Port.

Activity:  Sailing, swimming or snorkelling in Milna and disembarkation on the island of Hvar.


DAY 3. PAKLENI – BISEVO – VIS ARCHIPIELAGO

After a morning in the town, we will be sailing towards the Pakleni Islands, a maze of various small islands that offer perfect bays for swimming and snorkelling. We will visit Bisevo and its magical “Blue Cave”, where every sunny day from 10:00 to 13:00, the sunlight penetrates through the entrance of the cave, reflecting off the white background and bathing the inside with blue in what is an extraordinary natural spectacle. After visiting the cave, we will sail to one of the hidden bays to once again enjoy a lovely swim.

In the afternoon, we will reach Komiza on the island of Vis, and spend the night in this authentic fishing village. Known as Issa in the time of the Greeks, who used it to colonise and control Dalmatia, the island of Vis was a famous hideout for partisans of Marshall Tito in the Second World War. Closed to the public until 1986 (as it was a military base), the limited development of the island created a natural paradise. The flora, fauna, beaches and the coast are spectacular. And under the water we will find boats, war planes and other magical marine images that have remained hidden for years.

DAY 4. ISLAND OF KORCULA

In the morning we will sail out from Komiza en route to the island of Korcula. After stopping at beautiful bays to swim, we come to the island and town of Korcula, part of the central Dalmatian archipelago, separated from the Peljesac Peninsula by the narrow stretch that bears the same name. It is the sixth largest island of the Adriatic and the second most populous island in Croatia, with just 16 thousand inhabitants. The town of Korcula is the island’s main town, famous for its medieval walls and a succession of narrow streets that follow the shape of a fish skeleton, branching off to reduce the effects of wind and sun. The architecture of the old quarter is an impressive collection of buildings from the Venetian renaissance. When strolling around the old quarter, we will visit the splendid Cathedral of San Marcos, built in the Gothic –Renaissance style and finished in the XV century. The white wine produced here is famous worldwide, Posip, Grk and Rukutac.

Activity: Sailing, swimming or snorkelling along the way, and disembarkation on the Island of Korcula.


DAY 5. MLJET ISLAND

After breakfast we will continue sailing from Korcula to the island and National Park of Mljet. Mljet is the most south-eastern island in the Adriatic. The National Park, which bears the same name, and is located on the western side of the island with a surface are of 5.400 ha., including Veliko jezero (The Great Lake) and Malo jezero (The Small Lake), the Park’s principal natural attractions. We will visit the villages of Govedari Polače and Pomena from where we can hire bicycles and enjoy a unique swim on the exuberant beaches of Mljet.

DAY 6. DUBROVNIK

In the morning we will leave the island of Mljet and sail towards Dubrovnik. We will reach Dubrovnik in the afternoon, transfer to your hotel to then venture out and explore this beautiful city.
In the evening we will have our farewell dinner.

Accommodation: 5* Hotel in Dubrovnik.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Activity: Sailing, visit to Dubrovnik and farewell dinner.


DAY 7. FAREWELL

After breakfast we transfer to the airport of Dubrovnik or to the agreed departure point to thereby bring our adventure to a close.
